Keterkaitan bonus demografi dan kemiskinan di Kalimantan Utara

Abstract


Kompleksitas permasalahan kemiskinan menjadi tantangan aktor pembangunan untuk mencapai  sustainable development goal (SDGs) 1 mengakhiri kemiskinan di manapun dan dalam semua bentuk di provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Bonus demografi kurang menjadi perhatian dalam pengentasan kemiskinan. Penelitian komperhensif dan berfokus menjelaskan keterkaitan demografi dan kemiskinan di Indonesia minim. Selanjutnya, penelitian menjelaskan keterkaitan demografi dan kemiskinan di Kalimantan Utara terbatas pada rumah tangga pertanian miskin. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengontrol dan mengisi kesenjangan tersebut dengan menguji keterkaitan demografis dan kemiskinan di Kalimantan Utara. Teknik analisis data regresi ordinary least squere (OLS) dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi Eviews 12. Bukti manarik didapatkan dari hasil analisis data menjelaskan  variabel demografi  berpengaruh positif  dan signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Kalimantan Utara. Temuan menarik tersebut menjelaskan tantangan dalam pengentasan yang dihadapi setiap kabupaten/kota di provinsi Kalimantan Utara berbeda. Kondisi tersebut karena perbedaan jumlah penduduk usia produktif (15-64 tahun), belum produktif (0-14 tahun) dan tidak produktif (65+ tahun). Kota Tarakan memiliki peluang dalam pengentasan kemiskinan lebih mudah dari kabupaten/kota di provinsi Kalimantan Utara karena di dukung bonus demografi lebih baik.
