Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out and examine the application of Sharia Compliance in Murabahah contracts and the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board in monitoring Sharia compliance. This research method is Descriptive-Qualitative with a Field Study approach. Primary data sources were obtained from interviews and observations of researchers as practitioners, while secondary data were obtained from the results of previous research, literature reviews and other reference sources. The research location is at Bank Muamalat Indonesia Makassar Branch. The results of this research indicate that there are several deviations in fulfilling sharia compliance in murabahah contracts. One of them is the inappropriate use of wakalah contract media which has an impact on the ownership status of goods being resold to customers.
