Migrasi global dalam bingkai spasial; sebuah proposisi

Abstract


Migrasi adalah fenomena yang kompleks. Saking kompleksnya isu dalam hubungan internasional, bahwa migrasi selalu menjadi perdebatan di berbagai domain, baik teoritis maupun praktis, mulai dari terminologi, dampak ekonomi dan budaya, batasan dan batasan politik, negara dan kebijakan migrasi, hak asasi manusia, sekuritisasi dan juga gender. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan pendekatan teknik pengumpulan data penelitian kepustakaan yang berfokus pada potensi penggunaan pendekatan spasial terhadap isu migrasi global, artikel ini mencoba menjelaskan bahwa migrasi global sebenarnya memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan proses penciptaan ruang-ruang baru, atau ruang-ruang lama yang diperbarui melalui penciptaan pola-pola hubungan baru antara ruang-ruang yang ada.  Pada akhirnya, artikel ini menawarkan dimensi yang berbeda dalam pengembangan isu-isu migrasi global, termasuk kemungkinan melakukan penelitian baru dengan ide-ide baru yang akan menjadi sangat terbuka di masa depan, dan pada akhirnya akan menghasilkan perdebatan teoritis yang pada akhirnya akan menghasilkan pendekatan yang lebih interdisipliner.
