Pengaruh CEO Gender dan Free Cash Flow Terhadap Overinvestment Pada Industri Sub Sektor Makanan dan Minuman yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Abstract


ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh CEO gender dan free cash flow pada overinvestment perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2017. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sub sektor makanan dan minuman. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling, sampel akhir yang diperoleh yakni sebanyak 14 perusahaan. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif. Sumber data berupa data sekunder. Instrumen pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi berupa laporan keuangan dan tahunan perusahaan. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskripsi statistik dan regresi data panel. Bukti empiris mengungkapkan hubungan negatif CEO gender terhadap overinvestment dan hubungan negatif free cash flow terhadap overinvestment serta hubungan negatif signifikan interaksi CEO gender dan free cash flow terhadap overinvestment perusahaan makanan dan minuman di Bursa Efek Indonesia.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of CEO gender and free cash flow on overinvestment of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2017 period. The population of this study is all food and beverage sub-sector companies. The research sample was obtained by purposive sampling technique, the final sample obtained were 14 companies. The type of data used is quantitative data. Data sources in the form of secondary data. Data collection instruments are carried out with documentation in the form of financial statements and annual companies. The analytical tool used in this study is a statistical description and panel data regression. Empirical evidence reveals the negative relationship of CEO gender to overinvestment and the negative relationship of free cash flow to overinvestment as well as the significant negative relationship of ceo gender interaction and free cash flow to overinvestment of food and beverage companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
